Accessibility
MCG Web Design: My accessibility statement.
MCG Web Design strives to build and maintain a website that comply with accessibility best practice, however should any of the web pages in this site not meet any of the standards set out below please let us know.
If you have any questions or comments please feel free to provide us with feedback.

Accesskeys
Most browsers support jumping to specific links by typing keys defined on the web site. Use of access keys varies with User Agent (that is browser, screen reader and so on). The most common implementations are listed below. For more information refer to the help files that came with your browsers;
- Internet Explorer (PC): ALT + [hotkey] then ENTER
- Internet Explorer (MAC): CTRL + [hotkey]
- Netscape 7, Firefox (PC): ALT + [hotkey]
- Safari, Omniweb (MAC): CTRL + [hotkey]
- Opera: Shift + Escape then [hotkey]
- Google Chrome: ALT + [hotkey]
All pages in the MCG Web Design site have the following accesskeys:
- a = Access keys page (this page)
- h = Homepage
- w = What I Do
- r = Recent Work
- h = Hosting
- c = Contact Me
- p = Packages
- l = Privacy Policy
Standards Compliance
All pages on this site are at least WCAG-AA approved – complying with all priority 1 and 2 checkpoints of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines v 1.0. Many of the pages also comply with AAA checkpoints and we always strive to ensure (where possible) this is our standard page level.
Pages in the site validate as XHTML 1.0 transitional
Many links have title attributes (all the Next, Prev links in the top and bottom navigation bars) – these describe the link in greater detail.
Design
The site uses Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) for layout and visual formatting (with rare exception for certain components of some pages). If your browser does not support CSS or your wish to turn it off then all pages are still easily readable and actionable. All fonts are scalable – most browsers provide a means to specify default base text-size.
The site is of fixed width design – this was decided upon to improve the readability of the contents given the 2 column design. The site requires no horizontal scrolling for the most popular screen resolutions and window sizes (1024×768 or greater)
