Making your business more efficient

Most businesses keep some kind of database, even the ones who don’t realised they are keeping one. For example, I recently had a small Electrical Contractor based in Glasgow who was frustrated about the amount of folders and paperwork, most of which was historical archives and wanted to get something a bit more modern and less time consuming.

I developed a very simple to use customer and job tracking database which allows him to log all jobs, enquiries etc. Log materials used and automatically generate a pro-forma invoice while at the same time, cutting down on the amount of paper work he has and increases productivity for his office staff.

By hosting this database on a web server, hidden behind a secure login page, he and his staff can now access this data from anywhere, including via their iPhones and know that should they have to work from home or move premises in an emergency, their data will always be available to them. This system cost them less than £500.
